ABSTRACT
Against the backdrop of rural revitalization, inland ethnic minority regions in China are developing recreational fisheries to boost socioeconomic gains and resident well-being, with specialized formats as a core trend. To assess this industry’s development and its well-being impacts, this study combined the Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to construct an evaluation system covering eight key dimensions. Results showed economic benefits and government support were the top-priority dimensions and exerted significant positive impacts on well-being; fishery and ethnic cultural differences had moderate positive effects, with key indicators including demonstration base construction, funding subsidies, and ethnic food culture. The study concludes that optimizing policy support, innovating ethnic cultural resources, and enhancing resident skills can help achieve the dual goals of cultural conservation and improved well-being in target regions.
